Integra switches broadliner allegiance

Buying group buddies up with Computer 2000 after ending relationship with Ingram Micro

Distributor Computer 2000 (C2000) has for the first time forged ties with a dealer group, in the form of Integra Office Solutions.

Integra had a long-standing alliance with rival Ingram Micro, but did not renew its contract with the broadliner after it came to an end in December.

The partnership with C2000 kicked off at the beginning of May and it is the first time the distributor has worked with a dealer group.

A representative of Integra indicated that the decision to switch horses had been driven by demand from its 68 IT dealer members.

Ben Kempster, general manager at C2000, said the agreement would increase the distributor’s reach.

“This is an exciting move for C2000, enabling us to work more closely with a large number of IT resellers,” he said.

Aidan McDonough, Integra’s managing director said: “This is a strategically important agreement for Integra.”

With about 310 members in total, Integra is considered to be one of the UK’s big three buying groups alongside Brigantia and Network Buying Group.
