Onyx nurtures its reseller ties

Customer relationship management software vendor Onyx claimed it is to ramp up its partner strategy by encouraging closer ties with its resellers.

Customer relationship management (CRM) software vendor Onyx claimed it is to ramp up its partner strategy by encouraging closer ties with its resellers.

Andy Menzies, Onyx channel director for EMEA, said the company plans to capitalise on the "increasing demand for CRM across the UK and EMEA".

According to figures released by analyst IDC last year, the western European CRM market will grow by more than 51 per cent over the next three years, to be worth over $2.3bn (£1.6bn) by 2004.

Under the new strategy, Onyx, which claimed its mission is "to help customers achieve a competitive advantage by enabling anytime, anywhere interactions between employee, customers and partners", is to work with its existing channel partners in both the UK and EMEA to create tailored business plans and support services.

All partners will receive pre- and post-sales support from individual channel managers. Consultancy advice, marketing and PR support will also be provided in the service, Menzies explained.

"We understand the importance of a tailored business plan for our partners, which is why we are aiming to keep partner numbers to a manageable level," he said.

"Initially we want to verticalise our offering in the market and work with partners which have a proven track record in the CRM arena."
