Last chance to enter for an Award

CRN Channel Awards

As everyone enjoys the lazy sunny days, barbecues and drinks outside, the misty autumn and the month of November probably couldn’t be further from most channel players’ minds.

Yet for the CRN editorial team and me, it is already looming up fast. We have been busy over the past few months with preparation for this year’s Channel Awards. With the promise of an A-list celebrity presenter, bands, casinos and other surprises in store, this year is going to be a sure-fire hit.

But there is a much more serious element to the evening: the business of winning an award. While awards ceremonies don’t create instant customers or revenue, the differentiation a company can achieve by winning, or even simply being short-listed, can add to the bottom line. This means that entering for the Channel Awards is a business-driven opportunity.

This year, to ensure that not just the main players, or the larger players, or the richest players stand a chance of winning an award, we have tried to level the playing field by altering and adapting the categories companies can enter, according to the changing landscape of the channel and the IT sector.

Meanwhile, the event is drawing closer, and while the sound of ice cream vans might still be ringing in our ears, this is the very last week you can enter for an award.

Typing the word ‘awards’ into Google brings up 260 million results, including everything from the Grammies to the Darwin Awards. But there is only one ceremony that is solely dedicated to rewarding the members of the IT channel, and that is the CRN Channel Awards.

So, make sure that your closest rival doesn’t get an easy run at it, and that your company doesn’t miss out on the prestige, the differentiation, or the additional marketing opportunities – and, of course, a fantastic night out – and get your entry in now.
