Telindus sells UK video software arm

US-based AGS snaps up video management specialist

Done deal: AGS has bought Telindus Surveillance Solutions for an undisclosed sum

Pan-European integrator Telindus has sold its UK-based video management software arm to US design and consultancy specialist Adtech Global Solutions (AGS).

Telindus Surveillance Solutions (TSS) was owned by Belgian telecoms giant Belgacom and has been sold for an undisclosed sum. The deal covers its complete CellStack range of video management products, as well as its entire customer base.

AGS will slot TSS's operations into its newly formed Network Media group. Here it will be combined with the intellectual property of Steelbox Networks, which AGS bought last year.

Nik Moissiadis, vice president of AGS, will head up the Network Media division. "The Steelbox asset acquisition proved to be a very successful move by AGS," he said. "The opportunity to acquire TSS's business provides us with the perfect complement to Steelbox technology by pairing it with already interoperable products, and with extensive existing deployments worldwide."

TSS general manager Sean Huggett will now assume the operations director role for Telindus UK. He indicated that AGS would remain a key partner for the integrator, adding that the combination of the Steelbox and CellStack products would be a perfect fit.

"It makes perfect sense for these highly complementary products to be developed and deployed as part of the same holistic solution and this transaction benefits customers, Telindus and AGS alike," said Huggett.

AGS chief executive Tim Shadburn said: "The acquisitions of Steelbox, and now TSS, fit into our long-term growth strategy to leverage our overall global services organisation through a group of well-matched technologies and products. This complementary pairing broadens our expertise in the security market and provides continued room for growth."
