Varlink lands Casio PDAs
Recently set-up distributor signs ninth vendor
Following its launch in November, specialist distributor Varlink has added to its portfolio by signing an agreement with Casio for its range of next-generation rugged PDAs. Varlink now has nine vendors on board.
Mike Pullon, managing director of the York-based distributor, told CRN: “Customers had requested products for a couple of applications that our current product range didn’t cover, so we researched the market and approached Casio. Its rugged PDAs are tough and provide a number of features that end-users want.”
Varlink is also putting the finishing touches to its own interactive e-commerce site, which will display end-user pricing and allow VARs to track customer orders.
Geoff O’Connor, sales manager at rugged PDA-reseller Barcodestore, said: “I’ve not heard of Varlink, but there is definitely room for another distributor in the market. The rugged PDA market is growing, but the main vertical is still the transport industry.”
