Unisys is to launch a range of Pentium and Pentium Pro-based desktop, server and notebook computers. The machines will be part of the Aquanta range of computers.

Lawson Software, the client/server business applications specialist, has invested u250,000 in a training centre near Heathrow. The centre will supply client/server applications courses in financial, distribution and materials management.

Symbol Technologies, manufacturer of bar code driven data management systems, has signed an agreement with Accuscan International to distribute its products in the UK. Accuscan specialises in distributing bar code data capture products.

A charity has been launched aimed at providing children in long-stay hospital wards with multimedia PCs and Internet access.
