TSG to invest in Aberdeen

VAR group looking to triple the region's turnover

Technology Services Group (TSG) will invest £1m in its Aberdeen office to triple the region’s turnover and expand the VAR’s Scottish arm.

The Aberdeen office opened in 2004 to provide a portfolio of outsized IT systems and support services. However, the VAR has since outgrown its seven units at Hamilton Technology Park. It now plans to open a new unit at Aberdeen Science Park.

Tom O’Hara, regional managing director of TSG Scotland, told CRN: “£1m is a significant figure for us. We have 2,100 customers in Scotland. We will continue to grow both organically and through acquisitions.”

John Linney, managing director of Sage VAR BDE, said the move will show existing and potential customers that TSG is committed to the area.

“We don’t currently have a Scottish agenda, but for TSG it represents a good opportunity. It is a very wise move,” he said.
