Azlan thinks of England
Former Comstor exec is appointed at rival distribution firm
Simon England, former managing director Europe and regional vice president at Comstor has joined archrival Azlan as European managing director.
England was appointed at Comstor in 2002 and stepped down last March.
Andy Gass, senior vice president of enterprise business at Azlan's parent company, Tech Data, said: “With his extensive experience and reputation, [England] will be a great asset to Azlan and play a key role in helping us to develop our game plan and move towards our strategic objectives in the networking market.”
England said: “The new Azlan value proposition is focused on driving profitability by helping partners utilise their own specialisations, while at the same time relieving administrative office burdens by utilising Tech Data’s back-office capability.
“The Azlan front-office focus just becomes so much stronger as a result of being able to leverage the Tech Data back-office platform.”
"For our networking supplier partners the advantages are immense – particularly in the current hot-spots of technology migration and SME – and if vendors are looking to us to address these key market drivers, that simply multiplies the benefits for our customers,” added England.
