Resellers mind the Open GAP
ECM vendor launches new channel programme
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software vendor Open Text has launched a global channel programme to generate more indirect sales.
Its Global Alliance Programme (GAP) launches on Wednesday and ties together storage vendors, enterprise software vendors, resellers and system integrators.
Damian Hyland, vice-president of Open Text northen Europe, said GAP aims to increase partner-generated revenue by 10 per cent to account for 30 per cent of global sales in one year.
“GAP is a significant increase in our partner investment. We are cultivating relationships through it and are looking for select numbers of partners in the UK,” he said.
Chris Thompson, managing director of Avanquest UK, said: “Open Text is a serious player and this rollout will be taken seriously. The ECM space needs a quality product and professional wrap-around services to go with it, but it’s a competitive growth area.”
