Dosh to go further in the channel
Vendor extends channel programme
Financial management software vendor Dosh is extending its channel programme to include independent IT consultants.
The firm previously focused on building relationships with accountants and bookkeepers. However, it is now looking to work more closely with VARs, especially those involved in LAN installation and customer relationship management (CRM) software, said Nick Hardy, marketing manager at Dosh.
The firm released its CRM offering, Contact Manager, last year, and in January high street bank Lloyds TSB announced it would promote the software to its small-business account holders.
"The channel forms a central part of our future plans and we have had many interested calls from VARs since Lloyds announced its support for Contact Manager," Hardy said. He added that the vendor will not be insisting on specialist accreditation from new partners.
Matt van der Borgh, managing director of Dosh, said: "The feedback from partners and clients about our software has been very positive. Partners are not finding themselves constantly having to act as a support desk."
Richard Mitchell, e-business director at online business service provider 4edirect, said the software's ease of use is a good selling point. "Contact Manager gives customers the chance to grow their business. Because the cost is so small, SMEs can afford to buy a support package as well," he said.
"Lots of SMEs don't have a central database and this is a tool that can easily be implemented for little cost, which can only be good for resellers."
