Technocom MD has mix factor

Technocom, the Slough ISP and network solutions provider, has appointed Inmac?s former UK boss Peter Hill as managing director to push it into the corporate ISP market.

Technocom?s business is currently about 75 per cent dial-up access and 25 per cent business-to-business connection. Hill has been brought in to reverse the sales mix.

He was bullish about repositioning Technocom from a predominantly dial-up ISP service into a business-to-business role: ?Our networking roots complement the internet business; we are small enough to provide top-class support and resolve problems quickly. We can be as competitive as anyone on the leased line front.?

Hill was previously vice president of Inmac Corporation, in charge of UK business.
