Vendor signs second UK VAR to gain greater market penetration

Mobile data security vendor Pointsec has signed Software Box (SBL) as its second UK reseller to gain greater penetration in the public sector market.

The vendor works with Integralis in the UK, but decided the time was right to broaden its indirect strategy.

As a result of the partnership, SBL will include Pointsec’s mobile data encryption products within its mobile security solution portfolio.

Martin Allen, managing director of Pointsec, said: “As a company we get 80 per cent of our revenue from banks and government. In the UK we have had a lot of success with banks and financial institutions, but we need to improve our act with government institutions and health authorities.

“SBL approached us and we found it a very capable organisation with a focus in areas where we need to enhance our offering – particularly local government, health services and central government.”
