Channel route for Meetinghouse
Meetinghouse, the network security vendor, is making inroads into the UK
Meetinghouse, the network security vendor, is making inroads into the UK, and is looking to strengthen its channel to boost market share.
The US-based vendor, which operates in the wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi space, has been growing its OEM business for the past 18 months and is now looking to the channel to grow its European business.
Mark Samber, channel marketing manager at Meetinghouse, said: “We are trying to build UK channel relationships that we can support and who have the right networking skills.”
Samber added that VARs are well placed to offer extra services such as consulting, which will create revenue.
“We are looking to take on six to 12 partners who focus on network security and with a vertical focus in financial, healthcare, education, manufacturing or government, particularly those with a Cisco or Novell relationship,” he said.
However, Ash Hussein, sales and marketing director at reseller Axial Systems, was unsure if another vendor could fit into the crowded authentication-based security market.
“This space is already saturated with vendors, so it just depends on what makes them different to resellers and customers,” he said.
