Vizioncore eyes European market growth for 2007
Vendor reveals ambitions for burgeoning virtualisation sector with UK base for EMEA market
Virtualisation vendor Vizioncore is looking to broaden its European reseller base after establishing its EMEA headquarters in the UK.
The firm has singled out 2007 as the year for rapid growth as more firms start to adopt virtualisation and look to standardise on their virtual infrastructure. Colin Wright has been appointed as regional director, northern Europe and will spearhead Vizioncore’s expansion in the region.
In particular, Vizioncore is keen to engage with VMWare’s channel partners and share the same distribution partners in the UK – Centia, Magirus and Sigma.
Speaking to CRN, Wright said: “We are currently finalising our channel programme. While we have close relationships with our partners, some of them need to be more focused. What we do is very much guided by our relationship with VMware and we are targeting its top services partners.”
Vizioncore is also offering selected VARs a discount of up to 40 per cent under its Plus Programme.
David Bieneman, chief executive of Vizioncore, said: “Virtualisation is becoming a standard part of the data centre environment and this offers a significant opportunity to any company offering solutions that build on the momentum already achieved by vendors such as VMware.”
Julian Box, managing director of Vizioncore partner VirtualizeIT, said: “We cover all aspects of virtualisation and Vizioncore’s products sit smack in the middle of our delivery. We see it as a core vendor of utilities and management tools.”
Box said he was confident that the firm would not flood the market.
“We understand that Vizioncore needs to broaden its market, but sometimes if you have too many partners it can affect margins,” he added. “However, we are sure that this won’t be the case with Vizioncore.”
