Morse signals spending upturn

VAR reports turnover for six months ended 31 December 2003 of £187m

Corporate VAR Morse has seen a 13 per cent increase in sales. Turnover for the six months ended 31 December 2003 reached £187m, compared with £186m in the same period the previous year.

Losses fell to £6.8m, compared with £9.5m in the previous six months. Morse said there was evidence of renewal of IT spending.

Gordon Davies, commercial director at reseller Compusys, said: "We are seeing a lot of hardware refreshes, a big move towards mobility and customers rolling out infrastructures to support internet-based transactions."
