3Com bolsters UK support

Networking vendor adds three more spare parts depots in the UK in a bid to improve customer service

Networking vendor 3Com claims it has improved its support for UK enterprise customers by adding three spare parts depots in Newcastle, Birmingham and Southampton.

The vendor now has 52 logistics centres in EMEA and ten in the UK and Ireland.

At the same time, the vendor has also integrated support for enterprise-class H3C-branded product into 3Com Global Services. It claimed this would mean more of its customers would have access to “top-level help and advice” on more products.

Imran Khan, 3Com’s global vice president for services and support, said: “3Com’s new logistics centres in Newcastle, Birmingham and Southampton make it even easier to get replacements to customers anywhere in the UK.”

The additions come a year after 3Com moved the bulk of its EMEA service and support operation in-house (Channelweb, 6 September).

The vendor claimed the £6m move has helped improve customer services ratings, with 98 per cent of customers expressing satisfaction in 3Com’s services in an independent survey carried out in May.
