Micro Dynamics Dumps Multisoft to Focus on Tetra

Worcester-based accounting software reseller Micro Dynamics has returned its 50-strong complement of Multisoft contracts to the vendor for an undisclosed sum.

Peter Reynolds, MD at the #3.5 million dealership, said the company will focus entirely on Tetra?s CS/3 range in the future. ?I am cleaning up my act,? he said. ?We are going to be a whiter than white Tetra reseller. The Multisoft business was a bit of a carbuncle. We couldn?t do anything significant with it, and it made me realise we were not big enough to properly support two product ranges.?

Micro Dynamics supports 320 Tetra sites, mostly in the Midlands and South West.

Reynolds is negotiating to buy 60 Tetra service contracts from an unnamed dealership. He also hopes to announce a joint venture with Tetra within the month.

Roger Coles, Tetra channel sales manager, said he was delighted by the sale. ?We have thrown a lot of revenue and time at Micro Dynamics over the last six months. And now we are seeing payback.?

Micro Dynamics inherited its Multisoft business through the acquisition of Walsall-based Rowtall Computing in June 1995, and the purchase of South Wales company Principality Support and Development in 1996.
