E92plus woos generalists with on-site installation
Distributor hopes to ease entry to security market by extending installation offer to full product portfolio
E92plus has become the latest security distributor to make a play for generalist resellers by including one day’s installation on all orders.
The offer, which covers all e92plus products, is designed to lower the barrier for generalists to enter the security arena.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director at e92plus, said: “Quite a few resellers have not invested in security. This will attract them without the need for them to commit huge resources before they are ready.”
Nick Lucas, account manager for security at VAR Symitry, said he had already won £10,000 of orders as a result of e92plus’s offer.
“When we have been in competitive situations this has given us a differentiator,” he said.
However, James Pattinson, security director at rival distributor DNS-Arrow, claimed that e92plus was late to the party.
“This is not new,” he said. “DNS-Arrow has a professional services division of 52 staff providing installation and implementation work both to resellers that are new to the security market and security VARs that have the skills but lack bandwidth.”
