Affiniti completes Lloyds TSB roll-out

VAR finishes multi-million pound rollout for banking giant

VAR Affiniti is laughing all the way to the bank after completing a £3.5m Cisco converged communications contract with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets.

The project covered design, pre-staging, implementation and user acceptance testing for all technology at the financial giant’s new facility at Gresham Street, which houses 1,100 staff, including 200 traders.

Affiniti was also in charge of linking the new network to Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets’s facilities in Monument Street and Chiswell Street.

To top it all off, Affiniti has entered into a three-year partnership with the banking behemoth covering break-fix to ensure the new network runs smoothly.

Gary Young, managing director at Affiniti, said: “The City sees lots of complex relocations take place, but it is unusual for companies to complete a project of this nature within just 12 months - and to budget.

“Affiniti’s involvement has been very successful and we are now working with Lloyds TSB to roll out similar solutions across other business units.”

Affiniti claimed to have a strong pedigree in City deals, working with a number of investment banks including Mellon Financial Corp, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup.

Colin Everett, head of IT strategy and architecture at Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, said: “We have worked with Affiniti for several years and its selection for this project was based on an excellent track record in the City for deploying highly resilient environments including trading floors.”
