Cisco hands Gold badge to Kelway

Acquisitive VAR joins networking vendor's top table

Doye: We are moving towards the delivery of services and solutions in the converged datacentre

Acquisitive reseller Kelway has bagged Cisco’s top-level Gold certification.

The Docklands-based VAR, which bought three resellers last year including Cisco Silver partner Repton, said the badge would give it increased kudos among its customers.

According to Cisco's Partner Locator, there now 35 UK partners holding Cisco Gold status. There are only seven Silver partners

Maria Richards, technical director at Kelway, said: “For customers looking for Cisco advice, consultancy and implementation it represents the ultimate badge of trust and confidence, and makes us the right choice for all their datacentre virtualisation and unified computing needs.”

Bernadette Wightman, managing director of channels for Cisco UK & Ireland, said: “Gold certification demonstrates the strongest possible partnership with Cisco and a focus on the technology needs of customers at the very highest level.”

Kelway chief executive Phil Doye said the convergence of storage, servers and networking in the datacentre calls for a “new breed” of solutions provider.

“We view this accreditation as part of a strategic move towards the delivery of services and solutions in the converged datacentre,” he said.
