AMD plays Cilla Black in the GPU space
Vendor launches matchmaking service aimed at helping customers find the right graphics card
AMD is looking to offer a helping hand to its non-technical customers through a specially designed microsite.
Graphics Scout is billed as a ‘matchmaking’ site aimed at pairing customers with the right graphics card, without causing untold confusion in the buying process.
Sasa Marinkovic, senior product marketing manager at AMD, said: “The goal of this web site is to help non-technical audiences find the graphics card that is right for them.
“We have done this by keeping the content of the web site simple and easy to understand. So far, test user comments have been very positive with them noting that the site is easy to navigate.”
Marinkovic said that following feedback, the site is likely to be expanded to include information such as how to install a graphics card, a glossary of key terms and frequently asked questions.
“At AMD, we believe this site meets a specific need in the market and are very excited about its potential,” Marinkovic said.
