Microtec enters liquidation

Demise of components and peripherals supplier leaves creditors short

Microtec 99, a supplier of PC components and peripherals, has entered liquidation, leaving a large number of creditors out of pocket.

Insolvency practitioners Kay Johnson Gee were appointed as liquidators on 24 April.

Distributor Bell was among the creditors and pointed out to CRN that the managing director, Richard Green, was also a director of a company called E-Hound which had lain dormant but last week suddenly sprang to life as an online reseller at e-hound.com.

Nitin Joshi, founder of advisory service Channelmoney, told CRN: "Many of my clients are exposed and lots of questions to be answered. We need to know more about stock movements and trading with e-hound.com, an entity which seems to have experienced a resurgence of trading activity recently. I understand that there is little stock and this is of concern."
