Hyde to run Microsoft LAR channel
Microsoft central government head Edward Hyde is to return to a channel role, according to the grapevine
Microsoft’s large account resellers (LARs) have been told they are to get a dedicated head in the form of Edward Hyde.
Hyde will be a familiar face to partners having been channel sales manager for Microsoft earlier in the decade.
Hyde currently heads up Microsoft’s central government business. But according to partners, he will now take up a role running the vendor’s LAR channel, reporting into director solution provider SMSP, Shaun Frohlich.
LARs welcomed the appointment.
Stuart Fenton, president for EMEA and AsiaPac at LAR Insight Enterprises, said: “We are really pleased that Edward is coming back into this role. It will bring some consistency and solid leadership to the team.”
Alan Watkins, managing director of LAR Teksys, said: “Hyde is known to us and we are very pleased about the news.”
Microsoft could not be reached for comment.
The reshuffle comes just a week ahead of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference and follows a series of high-profile management changes in the US.
