VAR scoops HP, Cisco and VMware infrastructure deal with St John's School

Secondary school budgets are set to shrink one per cent over the next 12 months

Reseller Apex Computers has won a £750,000 IT infrastructure deal with a Wiltshire school.

The VAR is supplying a data and communications IT system for the new £26m site at St John’s School in Marlborough.

The system comprises an HP server architecture and Cisco fibre network that supports a VMware-virtualised environment with Cisco unified communications.

Apex's win comes shortly after the British Educational Suppliers Association predicted that secondary school budgets would shrink by one per cent over the coming 12 months. Primary school budgets are projected to fall off 2.2 per cent.
