Azzurri arm up and running

VAR ploughs resources into new dedicated contact centre unit

After completing the formation of its Contact Centre Practice division, integrator Azzurri has hailed the arm’s first deployment as an example of what it is now capable of.

Azzurri launched the dedicated division with the remit to provide end-to-end contact centre offerings. The new arm will have 20 dedicated staff, including chief technology officer Rufus Grig, with more than 100 from other divisions contributing on an ad hoc basis.

Grig said staff will be recruited to bolster the division’s expertise. “In the past, we deployed a solution and an application and that was where our responsibility stopped,” he said. “Now we have joined it with our managed network business.”

Grig said he expects service providers and retail firms to provide lucrative revenue streams. He added that applications offered by the division could include consultancy, telecoms expense management, analy- tics, IP telephony and call recording.

The contact centre practice recently wrapped up its first project, a £1.5m deal to centralise the three separate contact centres run by financial services firm Fredrickson Holdings. “This is an example of what we are capable of,” said Grig.
