Steljes admits to job losses

Audiovisual distributor reveals 'a couple' of jobs have gone as it prepares for growth in 2009

Audiovisual distributor Steljes has admitted it has made a ‘couple’ of redundancies as it tweaks its business model for future growth.

The firm explained that it is “preparing for the challenges and opportunities that 2009 may bring” by shifting employees into expected areas of growth.

Graham Wylie, group marketing director at Steljes, said: “There have been a number of changes in the product and marketing function of Steljes, including moving employees around to areas where we expect growth, and some people leaving.”

Wylie added that his team has experienced "a couple" of redundancies, as it concentrates more on its corporate business and its Building Schools for Future programme.

“Steljes is due to launch a new suite of Smart IT in September of this year, to coincide with the corporate push,” he added.
