Integralis takes on Austrian ID firm
Security integrator Integralis is set to broaden its global footprint to eight countries after agreeing to acquire niche Austrian consultancy Greschitz IT Security.
Although Integralis already sells into Austria from its German base, the acquisition will hand it a direct presence in the country.
Vienna-based Greschitz, which has just five staff and turnover in the lower seven-figure range, focuses on identity and access management.
Graham Jones, chief operating officer at Integralis, said: “Greschitz provides full audits to control what people can access. We will now be able to offer its clients our technology and managed services,” he said.
“We have two managed services offerings concerned with identity already, so it is a perfect fit.”
Integralis recently announced a 15 per cent rise in turnover for the first nine months of 2007 to €111m (£79m). It operates in Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, the US and the United Arab Emirates.
Jones said Integralis is hunting for more niche purchases in other European countries, including the Netherlands. “But next year our focus will be on the US and the Far East,” he added.
David Franklin, vice president of EMEA at authentication vendor TriCipher, which recently signed a managed service partnership with Integralis, said: “Integralis is getting more global perspective, which is good for its brand and customers. ID management is big in Austria and Germany.”
