Vistorm replaces SOC centre to spur growth

Vistorm is hoping to kick-start rapid growth of its managed services business with the launch of a new secure operations centre (SOC) in Daresbury.

The state-of-the-art centre, which will replace Vistorm’s existing Daresbury-based SOC, will be constructed over the next three to four months.

Darron Antill, chief operating officer at Vistorm, said: “Professional services have really grown up for us in the past three years. This year, we are focusing on expanding our managed services business.

“The new SOC will accommodate the expansion. It will look very contemporary with the right feel.”

The security integrator, which has recently been the subject of takeover speculation, saw annual turnover to June jump 30 per cent to £46.5m.

Ray Ottey, partnerships manager at rival Netstore, argued Vistorm’s investment was a case of its private equity owners dressing the bride for a sale: “It is clear Vistorm’s investors wish to cash in their chips,” he said.
