Intercept partners with ObserveIT
Virtualisation reseller aligns with software vendor to monitor and control human activity in server farms
ObserveIT's software enables customers to see what outsourcers and remote users are doing when remotely connected to enterprise servers
Virtualisation and cloud computing VAR Intercepthas partnered with software developer ObserveIT.
The partner alliance enables UK organisations to audit and demonstrate what vendors, outsourcers and remote users are doing when remotely connected to enterprise servers.
Will Brooks, operations director at Intercept said: “Current market conditions dictate that organisations are looking to reduce operating expenses in 2009, making offshoring and outsourcing an attractive offering.
“The partnership with ObserveIT helps Intercept to architect a secure remote access solution that is beyond VPN and Identify Management. Using ObserveIT Software, customers can demonstrate what actions remote users are performing on critical systems by replaying the recorded sessions.”
The deal will see Intercept promoting ObserveIT’s technology to its customers by offering them the opportunity to monitor and control human activity in server farms.
The developed software enables businesses to visually record and replay all Terminal, Citrix, and Console sessions, providing insight into all activities on the network.
“Since our inception, we have virtualised more than 5,000 servers and more than 100,000 desktops, and had more than 2,000 applications localised in 30 different languages. We believe this experience, combined with ObserveIT’s security and monitoring tools, provides a strong platform for a successful long-term partnership,” added Brooks.
Avi Weiss, chief executive at ObserveIT said: “This is a show of strength by both parties and we are extremely pleased and excited to be partnering a proven leader in the virtualisation and cloud computing market.
“Our reseller partnerships are among the cornerstones of our future success.”
