Net-wrk signs up with Centennial

Welsh reseller appointed by Centennial Software to push Device Wall product

Welsh reseller net-wrk has been appointed by Centennial Software to push its Device Wall product into Wales and the south west of England.

Matt Fisher, vice-president of Centennial, said: “Net-wrk has proven itself in the security market. The majority of our VARs are in the asset-management space, so net-wrk’s appointment will extend our reach in the security market. Most of our resellers are based in the south east, so it’s nice to have a VAR that can get us into Wales and the south west.”

Centennial’s DeviceWall software allows IT departments to monitor and manage the multitude of portable media devices, such as USB drives and iPods, that are being brought into the office. Companies can create a ‘white list’ of approved devices and automatically block any devices not permitted by the organisation.

Tom Booth, managing director of net-wrk, said: “We’ve seen an influx of personally owned gadgets and portable devices into the workplace over the past few years and it’s not slowing down. The next generation of USB drives – the U3 – runs programmes and stores information, so an entire application could easily be secretly brought into a network. As a result, tools that address this threat will continue to be in high demand.

“I researched the competition and found that DeviceWall met our requirements and was at the right price point,” Booth said.
