C2000 adds new manager

Distributor appoints manager for components unit

Broadliner Computer 2000 is pushing for a greater share of the UK system builder market following the appointment of a general manager for its PC Components division.

Claudette Atkinson last week joined the company from rival Bell Microproducts and is planning to help C2000 broaden its reach into new markets.

Atkinson told CRN: “We have a very strong components offering, and while we still need to focus on growing our existing customer base, we are also going to look at more vertically aligned business customers that use standard IT products.”

Areas of particular interest include the digital photocopier market, personal video recording, CCTV and medical markets, Atkinson added.

“There’s a bit of groundwork to do, but we have the capability to open up new areas of business,” she said.
