Pandora targets SMEs indirectly
On demand IP vendor sets up UK channel via VCOMM to gain market share
US-based On Demand IP vendor, Pandora Networks, is looking to make SME inroads via the channel by inking a deal with distributor VCOMM.
Under the terms of the deal Pandora will offer IP telephony, messaging and collaboration service for small and medium firms, and will be 100 per cent channel focused.
VCOMM will host, supply and support the Pandora network for resellers and hopes its IP background will gain a slice of the IP comms pie.
Jon Beck, chief operations officer at Pandora told CRN: "We feel the SME sector is still confused by voice over IP (VoIP) and we are tailoring our message to this sector.
"VCOMM already has a dozen resellers ready to go and we hope to have 50,000 seats by next year and around three to five per cent of the market."
