Realtime Gains performance lift

Distributor signs deal to carry full range of card manufacturer' offerings

Distributor Realtime has signed up with graphics card manufacturer Gainward to boost the performance end of its offerings.

From next month, Realtime will stock the full range of Gainward products and said the decision ends a long search for a high-end graphics card supplier to complement its existing nVidia-based products. Gainward is already well known and regarded in the gaming and enthusiast PC graphics marketplace. Realtime will be stocking both its high-end and entry-level value-added offerings. For Gainward, the card-maker will be looking to boost its UK profile in the channel.

Richard Marsden, sales manager at Realtime, said: “Gainward is a world class brand that will serve to strengthen our graphics portfolio. I am confident it will have a major impact on Realtime’s business.”

Katrin Wich, account manager, sales and marketing at Gainward, said: “Gainward is proud to announce its new partnership with Realtime. We expect to establish a strong partnership for a long term relationship. Gainward and Realtime are also looking forward to building a strong marketing strategy in the forthcoming years for the UK market.”

The deal has also gotten the thumbs-up from nVidia. Louis Belcuore, nVidia distribution manager for northern Europe and South Africa, said: “Realtime will be launching with Gainward in June to complement its nVidia range. Realtime is an nVidia authorised distributor and will further enhance its profile with Gainward.”

Among the range of Bliss cards offered by Realtime will be the recently launched Bliss 8600GTS 512 TV DD and the Bliss 8600GT 512 DD cards. Both use the performance GeForce 8600 chip and feature 512MB of graphics memory, dual-fan cooling and support for component, S-Video and composite out connectivity.

There will also be cards based on nVidia’s top-end 8800 chipsets as well as some on the ‘fastest graphics processor in the world’, the GeForce 8800 Ultra, announced last week.
