GeForce 7950 GX2 hits the market

NVidia launches graphics card into the market at sub-600euros level

Graphics card vendor, nVidia plans to sell its Geforce 7950 GX2 cards for the suggested retail price of €599, including VAT.
Some retailers in certain countries are likely to sell those cards for more, although CRN understands that the vendor set its suggested price to drive these cards below the €600 level.
NVidia rival, ATI, is hoping that there will be over demand and that nVidia will have a short supply of those cards, however, sources have told CRN there might be more of these cards than anticipated.
NVidia is tight-lipped about its retail card review programme and has advised a few people to hold their fingers over of reviews. Partners have been advised not to make big noise about it yet, CRN understands.
Nvidia brands Geforce 7950 GX2 card as a single card that will compete directly with ATI's Radeon X1900 XTX cards.
