Epicentric signs UK channel partner

Epicentric, a provider of ecommerce portals, has signed pan-European systems integrator 1eEurope as its first channel partner in the UK and is looking to sign others.

Epicentric, a provider of ecommerce portals, has signed pan-European systems integrator 1eEurope as its first channel partner in the UK and is looking to sign others.

Ken Sayer, sales manager UK and Benelux at Epicentric, said: "1eEurope appealed to us as a partner because of its attractive customer base and its recent investment and growth."

Douglas Smith, vice president of ebusiness integration at 1eEurope, also praised the new partnership. "Epicentric provided us with the quickest solution to deploy a portal interface to our clients," he said.

Epicentric is actively looking for resellers in the UK to support its Europe, Middle East & Africa expansion and is appointing a channel manager responsible for developing reseller relationships.

The company established an office in Slough last year to bring its activities to the UK. From 50 employees in its San Francisco offices last year, the company's staff has grown to 250 worldwide.

"We want resellers to complement our direct sales and take us into new areas," said Sayer, adding that the company would not abandon the channel once new areas had been penetrated.
