The small screen stars in Ideal's view of future

Ideal Hardware has outlined its view of the distributor market in the 90s and television will be an integral part of the vision.

Speaking exclusively to PC Dealer, MD James Wickes said Ideal will extend his Channel Vision TV programmes to three hours a day, every day of the working week in mid October.

At the same time Ideal will release a version of its Profile CD which hooks into its Net site and is continually updated.

'We've made a concerted effort to get more information to our customers,' said Wickes. 'This type of innovation will become effective.'

In order to compete against Computer 2000, Ideal realised it had to increase service to customers and resellers. It has invested in training its sales team and linked their earnings to the amount of volume shifted.
