Azzurri opens second Network Operations Centre

High Wycombe centre set up to manage customers in the south

VAR Azzurri has invested £150,000 in opening up its second Network Operations Centre (NOC) in High Wycombe.

The firm ploughed more than £500,000 into its first NOC in Leeds (CRN, 28 February 2005).

Steve Clark, managed services and technical director at Azzurri, told CRN: “We were under increasing pressure from customers to open another NOC, for the management of end-user networks. The High Wycombe centre will now serve our southern customers. Also, if there should be any problems in Leeds, the High Wycombe centre can handle everything and vice versa.”

Clark added that demand for network managed services is increasing, particularly among SMEs. “It has become a vital part of end-user business, and SMEs don’t have the cost or scale to manage it themselves,” he said.
