Computer 2000 to showcase Hewlett-Packard blade server and storage software to customers
Computer 2000 (C2000) has opened a demonstration suite which will allow its resellers to showcase Hewlett-Packard (HP) blade server and storage software to customers.
The HP demonstration centre is equipped with the latest HP systems, including the ProLiant DL140, DL380 G4, the SL320 VPN cache appliance server and BL20p blade server. It has also installed an HP StorageWorks MSA1000 dual-path SAN solution, HP DL380 and DL100 ProLiant Storage servers and HP tape library.
C2000 claims all of the equipment is configured with the latest rack and power offerings, and allows VARs to give demonstrations of both iSCSI and Fibre Channel storage consolidation solutions.
Russell Blackburn, general manager of the HP-focused business unit at C2000, said: “We understand that many resellers, particularly SME resellers, do not have access to such a resource, so we have invested a lot of time and effort into getting a demonstration centre fully equipped. “We have proved the concept works and we are now ready to open it up to all HP partners that have serious blade server and storage opportunities.”
David Poskett, director Solutions Partner Organisation at HP, said: “Customers are increasingly knowledgeable about technology and the ability to give them a real demonstration and not just discuss possible solutions in theory is a real boon to both them and HP’s channel.”
