Secerno reveals plans for Europe

UK-based database security vendor Secerno has revealed that central Europe will be the next prospect to add to its expanding international empire.

Towards the tail end of 2007, Secerno appointed Sphinx as its first UK distributor and opened offices in New York and Dubai.

Paul Davie, who founded Secerno in 2003, told CRN he hoped to have a presence in central Europe by the end of the first half of this year, and vowed to crack on with reseller expansion in the UK.

“We currently have five Gold UK partners, but want a dozen by the end of the year,” he said.

“The database security market is a new sector, but is growing rapidly, and we are the only vendor that can offer an efficient solution for blocking malicious traffic. Our technology is very easy to deploy.”

Mark Hatton, chief executive of Sphinx, said: “This is not a mass market yet, therefore, we are talking to resellers that are engaged with large organisations at the datacentre level.”
