NHS sends ANS to Coventry
VAR to roll out NetApp solution for Coventry and Warwickshire IT Collaborative
Full recovery: ANS solution is designed to offer protection against system failures
Mancunian VAR ANS Group has won a deal to supply a disaster recovery solution to NHS trusts in Coventry and Warwickshire.
The public sector specialist will roll out a NetApp storage area network for Coventry and Warwickshire IT Collaborative (CWITC), which serves NHS Coventry and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
Richard Newham, technical services manager at CWITC, said the system would allow it to continue performing back-office and front-line services in the event of unexpected system failures.
“ANS Group has a strong understanding of the challenges facing NHS organisations in relation to IT infrastructure, and its technical expertise makes the company an ideal partner on this crucial project,” he said.
ANS managing director Paul Sweeney, said: “In line with improvements across the NHS, CWITC has recognised the importance of further improving the resilience of its systems and, at the same time, will introduce technology to improve the delivery of IT services, create a platform for future development and contribute to its carbon reduction targets.”
