VMware rejigs distribution

Vendor lines up C2000 deal

Virtualisation vendor VMware is poised to sign with broadliner Computer 2000 (C2000) after recently severing all ties with specialist distribution partners Sigma and Interactive Ideas.
Greg Carlow, managing director of VMware reseller Repton, told CRN: “If [the deal with C2000] goes ahead it means that everything can be shipped in one box because C2000 has the whole package.”
Carlow explained that with a broadliner as a distribution partner, virtualisation software can be added to C2000’s hardware portfolio giving VARs a turnkey solution of virtualisation software and associated hardware systems to offer to customers.
