Expand Networks to push resellers into new markets with high-end product
Bandwidth optimisation vendor Expand Networks hopes to move its resellers into new markets through the introduction of a high-end product. It launched its Accelerator System 9000, aimed at data centres, earlier this month.
Scott Dobson, the vendor's UK country manager, claimed the high-end box will simplify bandwidth management and enable resellers to sell into the large corporate marketplace.
"We needed a more scalable product so rather than have lots of boxes we could have one that scales," he said.
He added that resellers can add services and support through their own resources or by using the Expand Professional Services portfolio.
Dobson said optimisation products remain essential despite broadband's growth in the UK.
Neil Ledger, co-founder at Expand distributor equIP Technologies, agreed. "It's not about how much bandwidth you have but about consolidating and optimising it," he said.
