A10 leaps in with 'five times cheaper' claim

Application delivery controller newcomer has Citrix, F5 and Cisco in its crosshairs

A10 Networks claims its solution is cheaper than larger rivals'

Application delivery controller (ADC) specialist A10 Networks has surged into the UK channel and has claimed its technology can be more than five times cheaper than larger rivals.

The vendor recently opened the doors on its first UK office and has inked a distribution deal with VADition. The company is eager to lock horns in this country with competitors including Cisco, F5 Networks and Citrix.

UK regional sales manager Dan Buckley claimed A10’s entry-level product could match the performance of a rival’s offering costing five times as much. He added he wanted to recruit up to 15 UK partners.

“But everyone will bring different skill sets and we are not going to dismiss people because we already have a set number.”

VARs investing in training and scaling the partner ladder will benefit from market development funds, lead generation and co-funded events.

Todd Kleppe, senior director of global operations, expressed his pleasure at bagging VADition to help build the UK channel.

“We are delighted to have it as a partner,” he said. “In our space, VADition is opinion leader in the UK market.”
