Mayflex shuffles sales deck
Distributor makes a raft of new appointments
Feeling flush: Mayflex claims it "will continue to make long-term investments" in staff
Distributor Mayflex has rejigged its sales and business development teams and added three heads in preparation for a cabling and physical security sales push.
Paul Cave has assumed the newly created role of technical manager for infrastructure. Cave joined the Birmingham distributor two years ago as part of its business development team supporting sales of cabling vendor Excel's technology.
Stepping into a role overseeing Excel business development in London and the south is Emma Goodman, who arrives from cabling vendor Datwyler.
Mayflex has also boosted headcount at its physical security arm. Neil Jeffrey, who joins from CCTV vendor Norbain, has been appointed to manage field sales in the south of the UK.
Arriving from electricals manufacturer Sanyo, Steve Green will fulfil the same field sales management role in the north.
Mayflex managing director Andrew Percival claimed the changes announced today followed a detailed review of the distributor's structure and skills base.
"Market conditions in general remain tough, but we are committed to providing our customers with the best products, supported by a great team," he added. "We will continue to make these long-term investments to ensure we meet this commitment.
"The changes we are announcing today take effect over the coming weeks and will bring with them added experience, and with that comes more support for our customers – something that is very important to us.”
