Microsoft joins up to the PCA

Software giant becomes latest member of PC Association

Microsoft has become the latest member of the PC Association (PCA) in a move the PCA has predicted will help VARs communicate better with the software giant.

Keith Warburton, chief executive of the PCA, said the two organisations had started discussions a long time ago. “Years ago we did not have the best relationship, as Microsoft had no route to talk to us. Then over the years we started a dialogue that has gone from strength to strength. Our relationship with Microsoft is now very productive, hence why it decided to become a member.

“This will give the very small VARs who don’t think they have a route into Microsoft a voice within the vendor.”

Microsoft partner group manager, Steve Haddock, said: “Microsoft is supportive of the PCA’s membership and its valuable activities. It’s important for the IT industry to have a voice and we feel the PCA represents the full spectrum of the IT trade.”
