Recent rollouts to healthcare companies feature more signage and videoconferencing

Audiovisual integrator Reflex is seeing an increase in projects for healthcare firms and organisations, from big pharmaceuticals to the NHS.
Craig McQueen, sales manager at Reflex, said healthcare deals have multiplied. “In healthcare, we are growing quite a lot,” he said.
Reflex recently completed a rollout for Cambridge’s Napp Pharmaceuticals, a developer of prescription painkillers for sufferers of cancer and other serious illnesses.
Ben Peroni, facilities project co-ordinator at Napp, said the 850-person company had added three new sites at Cambridge Science Park and needed to get all four set up with the most appropriate fit-out. “It was brand new and we went through a full tender process for the audiovisual side of things,” said Peroni.
According to McQueen, Napp’s previous meeting room infrastructure was dated. “It now has interactivity it did not have before. It has interactive whiteboards that are perfect for brainstorming and training [sessions],” he said.
“It now has digital signage and can communicate [using their audiovisual kit] with all its employees. Videoconferencing was not really used before, but Napp is using it now.”
Reflex is expanding into healthcare sales, but the pharmaceuticals company subset more closely resembles corporate customers than working with the NHS, so no specialist knowledge is required.
“They are just generic meeting rooms, really,” said McQueen.
