QLogic is number one
QLogic has ranked number one in overall Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA) market share, according to the Dell’Oro Q2 2007 SAN report. The vendor had 44.4 per cent revenue market share due to growing markets for 4Gb Fibre Channel HBAs.

Quantum leaps ahead
Quantum has launched StorageCare Vision, which allows end-users to manage storage environments in remote or branch offices where data protection and IT support is limited. It works with Quantum’s iLayer tape automation system and StorageCare Guardian backup system remote monitoring application.

320GB drive arrives
Toshiba Europe Storage Device Division has launched a 320GB drive, which the vendor claims is the highest capacity available for the 2.5in hard disk drive (HDD) market. The dual-platter MK3252GSX HDD includes Toshiba’s Free Fall Sensor technology.
