Pericom acquires Freestone Communications
Reseller to ramp up the sales of consumables
VAR Pericom has stepped on the acquisition trail by landing the service arm of Milton Keynes-based printer and fax VAR Freestone Communications for an undisclosed sum.
As a result of the acquisition all Freestone Communications’ service support staff – including workshop specialists and field service engineers – will move across to Pericom, enabling the firm to extend its range of printer and fax maintenance services.
Pericom also revealed it would look to ramp up the sales of consumables.
Terry Wilkins, managing director of Pericom, said: “This is the first in a series of acquisitions that will strengthen the service side of the business.”
Andrew Freestone, managing director of Freestone Communications, said: “This deal has secured continuity and growth for both staff and customers who now have access to Pericom’s full range of services.”
