Vendor unleashes cloud-based storage-as-a-service model on channel

Backup and archiving vendor Iron Mountain Digital is set to launch its Virtual File Store channel programme.

Due to roll out across Europe in April, the cloud-based storage-as-a-service model will integrate with the vendor’s existing programme.

Richard Ellis, sales manager for UK and Ireland at Iron Mountain Digital, said the hosted partner platform can provide 0.5TB-0.5PB of data.

“This service will be well suited for our managed service provider and traditional VAR partners,” he said.

“Customers do not have to provide a large capital investment because it is integrated with the existing infrastructure and fits into the monthly operating budget.”
