SAP to renew focus on SMEs for 2009
Software giant to place emphasis on All in One Fast-Start Programme and UK activities
Software giant SAP is set to drive recruitment in its SME channel in 2009, placing particular emphasis on its All in One Fast-Start Programme.
The All in One Fast-Start programme uses an online configurator, where prospective SME customers can see an upfront, all-inclusive cost estimate. Once the customer completes the configuration process, SAP or a qualified SAP partner guides them through the next steps of implementation and service.
SAP has recruited eight partners to the programme since its launch in April, and claims there are more recruits in the pipeline for the New Year.
In October SAP nabbed former Oracle senior director, Hazel Nash, to become its new director of channel for UK and Ireland.
Nash said SAP will renew its focus on the SME space during 2009.
“We are looking to drive a vision and new strategy in the SME, as we renew our focus here for next year," she said.
“We have not seen any casualties in the market from the crunch, but we understand that the market is harder for the channel and that customers are looking for better value for money.”
